Volleyball Swept in Metro Conference Opener

Sacred Heart sophomore Addy Franz was credited with 32 assists, 10 digs and three service aces to help lead the visiting Pioneers to a 3-0 sweep of Canisius in Metro Conference volleyball action Friday night at the Koessler Athletic Center. Sacred Heart improved to 8-5 overall and 1-0 in league play by winning the match by set scores of 25-14, 25-21, 25-23. The Golden Griffins fell to 1-10 overall and 0-1 in Metro play with the loss.
