Women’s Hockey Scores Early, Unable to Hang On at Minnesota State Mankato

MANKATO, Minn. – The RPI women’s hockey team jumped out to a two-goal first-period lead and later battled back to tie the game in the third, but Minnesota State answered with the eventual game-winner before adding an empty-net tally to earn a 5-3 victory over the Engineers this afternoon. RPI wasted little time getting on the board, capitalizing on its first power-play opportunity of the afternoon.
