Lynchburg Blanks Sewanee, 3-0, at Home

LYNCHBURG, Va. — The University of Lynchburg field hockey team earned a 3-0 victory over Sewanee on Sunday afternoon at Shellenberger Field. The Hornets wasted little time getting on the board, as Grace Peterson opened the scoring in the first quarter off an assist from Sydney Cappallo. Lynchburg continued to create opportunities throughout the opening period, with Taylor Secrist and Allie Freeman both getting shots away as the Hornets carried the early advantage.
