No. 9 Emory Nips Women’s Soccer with Late Goal

Charlotte, N.C. – The University of Lynchburg women’s soccer team fell short against No. 9 Emory for its first loss of the regular season on Sunday, as Mikayla Camp’s late goal secured a 1-0 victory for the Eagles. The Eagles outshot Lynchburg 13-8, although the teams were held to four combined shots throughout the first 34 minutes. Emory claimed an 8-5 corner kicks advantage, while both keepers made five saves.
