Clippers’ Brandon Ingram out with partially torn Achilles

Brandon Ingram’s Los Angeles Clippers debut has been put on hold. Ingram is out to start the season with a partially torn Achilles, the team told reporters on Monday. The injury was discovered after Ingram underwent surgery on his right heel, which he injured last season. The 29-year-old was acquired by the Clippers as part of the deal that sent Kawhi Leonard to the Toronto Raptors. In 77 regular-season games for the Raptors last year, Ingram averaged 21.5 points, 5.6 rebounds and 3.7 assists in 33.8 minutes.
