Banterra Student-Athlete of the Week: Jacob English

By: Dan McDonnell, USI Athletic Communication EVANSVILLE, Ind.— Men’s Soccer sophomore goalkeeper Jacob English is USI’s Banterra Bank Student Athlete of the Week. English is in his second season with the Screaming Eagles and currently leads the Ohio Valley Conference with 42 saves. The Louisville, Kentucky, native currently ranks 11th in the nation with his OVC-best 5.25 saves per game. He has two shutouts on the season, helping to lead the Screaming Eagles to scoreless draws against the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee last month and the University of Evansville two weeks ago.
