Lizzie Carr Named SEC Player of the Week, O’Brien Setter of the Week
LEXINGTON, Ky. – Kentucky Volleyball middle blocker Lizzie Carr was named the Southeastern Conference’s Player of the Week and Defensive Player of the Week on Monday afternoon, the league announced. It is the first-career SEC Player of the Week honor for Carr. Additionally, Kassie O’Brien was voted on as the league’s setter of the week. Carr had seven blocks against Vanderbilt and five against No. 7 Texas on Sunday, marking 1.71 blocks per set for the week as Kentucky started 2-0 in SEC play.
