Angel Reese wins WNBA Defensive Player of the Year
Angel Reese's league-leading rebounding numbers have earned her an end-of-season award. The Atlanta Dream star has been named Defensive Player of the Year for the 2026 season, the league announced on Thursday. She received 46 votes from a panel of 74 sports reporters. Reese averaged a league-high 12.1 rebounds and ranks third in the W with 1.8 steals per game. Over 43 games, she totalled 77 steals.
