Field Hockey drops conference opener to Widener

CHESTER, Pa. – The Albright College field hockey team dropped a 9-0 decision on the road to Widener University on Saturday afternoon. The contest was the MAC Commonwealth opener for both squads. The Pride (4-4, 1-0 MAC Commonwealth) opened the scoring with a tally at the 5:49 mark of the opening period. The home team tacked on a pair of goals in the second quarter to take a 3-0 lead into the break.
