King Women’s Swimming Tops Mars Hill, 131-72, Behind Seven Event Wins

Bristol, Va. – The King University Women’s Swimming team picked up a 131-72 victory over Mars Hill on Saturday, winning seven events in the dual meet. The Tornado got off to a fast start in the first event of the day. Emma Bendall, Katie Koenst, Mariandree Valdes, and Derin Yerlikaya won the 200-yard medley relay in a time of 1:56.30. Yerlikaya came back to win the 500-yard freestyle in 5:43.91. Alice Schoemans followed in the 200-yard IM, taking first in 2:19.88.
