Barbulescu Wins A10 Conference Masters

DAVIDSON, NC – The University of Richmond's Sofia Barbulescu captured the women's tennis singles title at the 2026 Atlantic 10 Conference Masters, hosted by Davidson this weekend. With the tournament victory, Barbulescu qualifies for the NCAA Conference Masters Tournament on November 5-8 at the Rome Tennis Center in Rome, Georgia. After a round of 16 bye, Barbulescu defeated VCU's Mariam Ibrahim Mohamed Metwally 6-4, 6-3. She then captured a semifinal 6-1, 7-6 (7-4) win over Davidson's Charlotte Calderwood.
