DVHS fall sports adjust to smaller rosters for the 2026 season
At Dougherty Valley High School, both the womens water polo and womens tennis teams have opened their fall seasons with significantly smaller rosters. As of this year, fewer athletes attended both tryouts, and waterpolo specifically drew too few players to field a separate junior varsity team. The shrinking roster was significantly more apparent for womens water polo, a team that recognized a larger decrease in the number of athletes trying out than the year before.
