Women’s Crew Opens with First Place Finish at the Head of the Housatonic

SHELTON, Conn. – A season-opening in-state trip to the Housatonic River proved a fruitful one for the Wesleyan women’s crew team as the Varsity 8 landed a first place finish in the Div. III competition on Saturday morning at the Head of the Housatonic. RESULTS Competing against V8 boats from Trinity, Coast Guard, and Conn. College, the Cardinals crossed the line with a time of 15:47.925 that topped the field, besting runner-up Trinity by more than 3.5 seconds.
