Jamaria Freeman Named First Team Preseason All-Conference, Women’s Basketball Tied for Fifth in Big South Conference Preseason Coaches’ Poll

FULL BIG SOUTH CONFERENCE RELEASE CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Sophomore guard Jamaria Freeman has been named First Team All-Conference, while UNC Asheville Women’s Basketball is tied for fifth in the 2026-27 Big South Conference Preseason Coaches’ Poll announced by the league today (Wednesday, Oct. 14). Freeman played in 29 games making 25 starts as a freshman, totaling 832 minutes averaging 29 minutes per game. For the season she totaled 287 points, 87 rebounds, 109 assists, 55 steals and seven blocks.
