Carter Reaches Flight C Final at ITA Regionals to Lead Prairie Stars in Final Fall Competition

The Illinois Springfield women’s tennis team wrapped up its fall season at the ITA Division II Midwest Regional Championships over the weekend, with Jane Carter advancing to the Flight C singles final and two Prairie Stars doubles teams making deep runs in their respective brackets. Carter led the way in singles, opening Flight C play with a 6-2, 6-3 win over UMSL’s Lauren Sweeney before defeating Quincy’s Heidi Navas Alameda 6-1, 6-1.
