Mississippi Valley State Records Four Personal Bests at Watson Cross Country Classic

CLINTON, Miss. – The Mississippi Valley State University women's cross-country team turned in several strong individual performances Friday morning at the 2026 Watson Cross Country Classic, highlighted by four personal-best times and one season-best mark in the women's 6K race. Sophomore Janet Cheboi led Mississippi Valley State, recording a personal-best time of 26:29.9 to finish 111th overall. Cheboi paced the team throughout the 6,000-meter competition, crossing the 2K mark in 8:08.0 and the 4K mark in 17:14.1 before completing her impressive performance.
