Bowling Green senior Micah Bentley is building a legacy beyond the course: He mentors younger teammates, leads Bible studies, helps run the campus Euchre Club and is pursuing an MBA. Drawing on years of competition and family support, Bentley says his goal is to leave the Falcons’ cross-country team stronger than he found it.

By the Numbers
  • Bentley runs 80 to 85 miles per week at peak training.
  • The Euchre Club he helped launch grew from 10 friends to 103 people at a meeting.
  • He earned 11 varsity letters in high school and 100 wrestling wins.
Yes, But

Bentley once considered combining college running and wrestling, but chose to focus on running, saying it was easier on his body and offered better opportunities.

Bottom Line

Bentley’s leadership is measured not only in miles, but in the community he’s creating and the example he sets for teammates balancing athletics, academics and service.
