Fort Hays State’s men’s and women’s cross-country teams close the regular season Saturday at the Griffon Open in St. Joseph, Missouri. The meet gives the Tigers a preview of the course and much of the competition they’ll face at the MIAA Championships two weeks later.

  • The women’s 5K starts at 10 a.m.; the men’s 8K follows at 10:45 a.m.
  • At the Oct. 10 Tiger Open, the women placed second with 51 points; the men finished sixth with 126.

Bottom Line

Saturday is more than a regular-season finale: it’s the Tigers’ last chance to test themselves against conference rivals on the championship course.
