Main Story: Vice President JD Vance’s visit to the Cincinnati Bengals’ practice drew little visible attention from players as they passed him. The viral video prompted criticism online, but it’s unclear whether the players were deliberately ignoring him or simply focused on practice.

By the Numbers
  • The video drew more than 2 million views.
  • One player stopped to shake Vance’s hand.
Yes, But

The footage fueled claims that Vance was snubbed, but it doesn’t establish the players’ intent. Joe Burrow said he hadn’t known Vance would be there until team owner Mike Brown told him.

Bottom Line

The visit became a viral political moment, but the footage alone doesn’t show whether the Bengals’ players meant to slight the vice president.
