Main Story

Towson’s men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams head to Loyola’s Thomas Murphy Invite from Oct. 23-25 for their first invitational of the season. The Tigers enter after sweeping Georgetown and La Salle in dual meets and will face Loyola, UMBC and Mount St. Mary’s.

By the Numbers
  • 3-day meet: Oct. 23-25, with preliminaries at 10 a.m. and finals at 6 p.m. each day.
  • 4 teams are competing: Towson, Loyola, UMBC and Mount St. Mary’s.
  • Both Towson teams finished 2nd at the 2025 invite.
State of Play
  • Towson’s momentum includes two dual-meet sweeps earlier this month. Addie Scott earned five individual wins and was named CAA Women’s Co-Swimmer of the Week.
  • At last year’s invite, Jed Garner and Christian Davidson set pool and meet records, respectively; Scott also set a meet record.
  • Loyola has opened with wins over Lehigh and Lafayette on the women’s side and a win over Lafayette on the men’s side. UMBC split its recent tri-meets, while Mount St. Mary’s has started with dual-meet losses to American and VMI.
What’s Next

The Tigers will look to carry their early-season dual-meet form into three days of competition and build on last year’s runner-up finishes.

Bottom Line

Towson arrives with strong early results and proven success at this meet, but Loyola, UMBC and Mount St. Mary’s offer the Tigers their first invitational test of the season.
