Main Story: Notre Dame High School’s dance classes and InStep company are preparing an end-of-year performance featuring student-created choreography and styles ranging from hip-hop and jazz to contemporary and African-based dance. Beginning, intermediate and advanced dancers will perform separately, then come together for a finale.

By the Numbers
  • NDB typically holds 1–2 official dance performances each year.
  • Advanced dance meets during second period; beginning dance meets during third period.
State of Play
  • Students are currently developing a range of routines for the end-of-year show.
  • InStep, the program’s highest level, gives students the opportunity to create their own choreography.
  • Students enter the advanced electives by auditioning before the school year.
Bottom Line

The show will highlight both the range of NDB’s dance program and the collaboration across skill levels, with students helping shape the performance from choreography to the final group number.
