SIUE visits Illinois State on Oct. 26 for its final preseason exhibition, a last tune-up before opening the regular season at home against Judson on Nov. 3. Both teams enter the season with strong expectations after successful 2025-26 campaigns.

By the Numbers
  • SIUE went 16-16 last season and returns six players.
  • Illinois State finished 24-14, reached the WNIT Championship game and returns seven players.
  • Both teams were picked to finish second in their respective conference preseason polls.
  • Exhibition tipoff is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. at CEFCU Arena in Normal, Illinois.
Yes, But

The teams’ preseason rankings point to a competitive matchup, but this is an exhibition and the result won’t count toward either team’s regular-season record.

What's Next

SIUE opens its regular season against Judson at home on Nov. 3, while Illinois State looks to build on last season’s WNIT title-game run.

Bottom Line

This final exhibition gives SIUE a high-level test against an in-state rival before the games begin to count.
