Manhattan has added graduate guard Ben Pearce, the reigning Division III National Player of the Year, to its 2026-27 roster. The Tuckahoe native joins the Jaspers after leading Emory to the Division III national championship game and earning the Jostens Trophy.

By the Numbers
  • In 30 games in 2025-26, Pearce averaged 23.6 points and 7.1 assists.
  • He scored 707 points, made 74 3-pointers and dished out 214 assists.
  • Pearce averaged 24 points during Emory’s NCAA Tournament run, including 29 against Roanoke.
Yes, But

Pearce is moving from Division III to Manhattan’s level of competition, so his college production will need to translate. His scoring, playmaking and national honors give the Jaspers a proven addition, though how he adjusts remains to be seen.

Bottom Line

Manhattan is adding an accomplished scorer and facilitator with deep postseason experience—and bringing a standout local player back to New York.
