Isaiah Drake’s double helped Glendale edge Salt River in a low-scoring game, while Braves relievers Logan Samuels and Owen Hackman combined for a scoreless outing. Drake recorded Glendale’s only extra-base hit, and Hackman closed out the win with a scoreless save.

By the Numbers
  • Glendale won 1-0.
  • Samuels: 1⅓ innings, no hits or runs allowed.
  • Hackman: 1 inning, 1 hit and 1 strikeout; earned the save.
Yes, But

Drake broke through with his first extra-base hit of the fall, but his overall contact has not consistently produced hard-hit balls. Tate Southisene went 0-for-3, though his hard contact offered a positive sign.

Bottom Line

Glendale’s pitchers carried the day: Samuels preserved the lead in a high-leverage spot, and Hackman finished the job. Drake’s double was a welcome bright spot, but turning contact into more authoritative hits remains the next step.
