UAlbany will host the America East Cross Country Championships on Friday, with its women’s team bringing strong momentum after finishing second at three of four meets. Skyler Hines has led the women in every race, while Jerry Lewis and Owen Stachlik have paced the men. The Great Danes will race on their home course as they pursue conference titles.

By the Numbers
  • Women’s 5K: Friday at 11 a.m. ET.
  • Men’s 8K: Friday at noon ET.
  • UAlbany’s men finished second among 22 teams at the NJIT Invitational.
  • Hines has won three individual races this season and led UAlbany in all four.
Yes, But

UAlbany enters with encouraging results, but the reigning champions set a high bar: Maine’s women won their first title in 2025, and UMass Lowell’s men claimed their sixth straight.

What’s Next

Depending on the championship results, UAlbany’s season could continue at the NCAA Northeast Regionals on November 13.

Bottom Line

Home-course advantage and a steady season give the Great Danes a chance to challenge, but they’ll need to overcome established conference champions to take the titles.
