Valley City State volleyball heads west for its final regular-season road matches, facing Dickinson State on Thursday and Bismarck State on Friday. The Vikings will try to bounce back from last weekend’s losses and repeat earlier wins over both opponents.

By the Numbers
  • VCSU is 8-17 overall and 6-12 in conference play.
  • The Vikings beat Dickinson State in 3 sets and Bismarck State in 5 sets earlier this month.
  • Thursday’s match starts at 7 p.m. Central; Friday’s starts at 6 p.m. Central.
State of Play
  • VCSU is coming off losses to Carroll College and Rocky Mountain College.
  • After the road trip, the Vikings return home to face Bellevue on Nov. 6 and Dakota State on Nov. 7.
Bottom Line

Two road wins would give the Vikings a timely rebound and extend their season sweeps of both North Dakota opponents before the regular-season home finale.
