  • The Warriors have won 12 straight Senior Day games.
  • Westmont defeated Point Loma 4-1; Maljian scored twice.
Yes, But

Westmont enters the tournament on a high after a decisive win, but Vanguard beat the Warriors 4-3 in their only meeting this season.

State of Play
  • Westmont is the No. 3 seed and will play No. 2 Vanguard on Thursday, Nov. 5, at 2 p.m. PT.
  • The semifinal is at Kennelly Field on Dominican University’s campus; the winner advances to Saturday’s noon championship game.
What's Next

Westmont must get past Vanguard to reach the championship, where it would face the winner of the other semifinal between host Dominican and top-seeded Hawai‘i Pacific.

Bottom Line

A strong finish earned Westmont a postseason chance; beating Vanguard would turn that breakthrough into a title-game opportunity.
