Findlay women’s golf earned recognition on all three of the WGCA’s inaugural Division II fall watchlists. Coach Dominic Guarnieri is up for National Coach of the Year after leading the Oilers to three tournament wins, while four players made the Player of the Year list and two freshmen landed on the Freshman of the Year list.

By the Numbers
  • 3 tournament victories; Findlay is No. 3 in the WGCA Coaches Poll.
  • 4 Oilers on the Player of the Year watchlist; 2 on the Freshman of the Year watchlist.
  • Adjusted scoring averages: Ashleigh Duflo, 71.29; Ellie Yeazell, 71.71; Emma Meyers, 71.79; Lillian O’Grady, 72.34; Chaille Payne, 73.95.
Yes, But

The watchlists recognize strong fall performances but are not final awards. Payne has played in only three tournaments, while the other listed golfers have established their standing over a larger fall schedule.

Bottom Line

Findlay’s depth is driving its early-season success: the team has wins to show for it, and its coach and athletes are represented across every inaugural WGCA fall watchlist.
