UNC Greensboro faces a two-game stretch, visiting UIC on Monday before hosting Lees-McRae on Wednesday. The Spartans enter after a 74-65 loss to Elon; UIC is 2-0, while Lees-McRae opens its season against UNCG.

Yes, But

UNCG has won both teams’ previous matchups, but it faces a UIC squad that has opened with two decisive victories and returns four starters. The Spartans’ recent loss to Elon also exposed a rebounding gap: Elon held a 45-22 advantage.

What’s Next

After the two-game set, UNCG heads to Cornell on Nov. 14, then visits Gardner-Webb.

Bottom Line

UNCG’s challenge is to turn its strong individual scoring into a more complete team performance, especially on the boards, as it takes on an unbeaten UIC team and then hosts Lees-McRae.
