Benson’s four point night leads ICE to victory
Winnipeg ICE forward Zach Benson recorded his first WHL hat trick Friday night at the ICE Cave inside Wayne Fleming Arena as the ICE doubled the Spokane Chiefs 6-3. Benson also assisted on Conor Geekie’s second goal of the game. Geekie’s first goal of the night, 2:00 into the opening period was the Teddy Bear Toss goal presented by Manitoba Building Trades. All of the stuffed animals will be donated to the Children’s Hospital Foundation of Manitoba. Vladislav Shilo rounded out the ICE scoring as their record improved to 24-4.
