Flames’ Chris Tanev to miss final two games before All-Star break
Calgary Flames head coach Darryl Sutter said Wednesday that defenceman Chris Tanev will miss the team’s next two games, its final two before the All-Star break. Tanev left Monday night’s game against the Columbus Blue Jackets in the first period with an upper-body injury. Sutter said the team hopes he can return after the break. The Flames play back-to-back games on Thursday and Friday, then don’t play again until Feb. 6, when they travel to New York to take on the Rangers.
