Meet Bradwell Institute’s basketball player Taniyah Bowman
HINESVILLE, Ga. — Taniyah Bowman is a 5’4 senior guard on the Bradwell Institute Lady Tigers’ basketball team. She has been a starter for four years and is an integral part of the team’s success. Bradwell is currently 12-2 and 2-0 in region 1AAAAA. Taniyah, along with many of her teammates are having a good year because we have so many weapons on our team. Our 5 starters are comprised of 2 seniors, 2 sophomores, and 1 freshman. And we also have key reserves who can come in and play valuable minutes on our team.
Taniyah leads the team in scoring averaging 15.6 points, 4.2 assists, and 5.5 steals per game. She also has scored over 1000 points in her career. She reached that milestone against Tattnall County High on December 10, 2022. Over the past two years, she was selected to the all-region team and the all-state south team as a junior. She is small in stature, but plays much bigger because of her lightning-quick speed, shooting, and jumping ability. She is also very coachable and a joy to have in the program. She is the total package because she is an honor roll student. She is a three sport athlete as she is a member of the soccer and track team as well.
The sky’s the limit for this young lady and I am looking forward to watching her continue to excel on the collegiate level. Because of her natural ability and work ethic, she will be successful in whatever endeavors she takes on.
