Byram Hills off to perfect start behind ground game
ARMONK N.Y. (BVM) — The Byram Hills Bobcats are off to a perfect start in the 2021 season, in part to their steady work in the ground game.
Bobcats’ running back Matt Weiler has been on a tear to start this season averaging over 110 yards a game. The four-year varsity star running back filled up the stat sheet in Byram Hills’ most recent matchup against Pleasantville, racking up 153 yards rushing and two touchdowns in the Bobcats’ 34-7 win over the Panthers.
Not only has Weiler helped Byram Hills get off to a good start on offense, but the senior has made sure to leave his mark on the defensive side as well. The two-way running back/linebacker has helped the Bobcats outscore their opponents 129-28 during the team’s 4-0 start.
Byram Hills will look to continue its undefeated season this week against Ardsley. The Bobcats will be looking for revenge after Ardsley ended their season in the playoffs last year.
