Kyleigh O’Donnell picks up Pitcher of the Week honors
ORONO, Maine (BVM) — As the Maine softball squad gets back on track, senior pitcher Kyleigh O’Donnell continues to be a steadying force for the Black Bears.
The Black Bears’ star pitcher has picked up her team recently, throwing back-to-back complete games in her last two appearances while racking up 13 strikeouts between the games. O’Donnell’s efforts in the team’s last outing against Binghamton helped push the Black Bears past the Bearcats behind her 6 strikeouts.

The recent dominance from O’Donnell helped her earn America East Player of the Week honors. The senior pitcher went 2-0 with a 0.91 ERA after the weekend. She sits with a 2.40 ERA on the season while racking up 63 strikeouts.
After starting the year 2-10, Maine continues to push through its slow start sitting at 10-14 after a recent hot stretch that included five wins in seven games. The Black Bears will look to continue their recent run with an upcoming matchup against Stony Brook University on Saturday.
