Impressive opening round pushes Eagles to sixth place
BATAVIA, Ohio – University of Southern Indiana Women’s Golf shot an opening day score of 306 (+22) to position itself into a sixth-place finish at The Julie at the Elks Run Golf Course Tuesday afternoon. The Screaming Eagles’ two-round score of 624 (+56) is the best this season. USI used a team effort to place within the top five of The Julie after the first round of action. Sophomore Baileigh Schneider (Huntingburg, Indiana) had another big first-round performance, shooting a 72 (+1) to sit in a tie for sixth and mark the lowest round score this season.
