Top 5 NBA draft fits for Indiana guard Jalen Hood-Schifino
BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (BVM) – The 2023 NBA Draft is just under a week away, and many prospects continue to rise on draft boards as it approaches. One of those players is Jalen Hood-Schifino, who showcased elite upside in his lone season with the Indiana Hoosiers.
Hood-Schifino was poised for success in Bloomington, Indiana, joining the Hoosiers as a five-star prospect and the No. 23 player in the Class of 2022. His high school career saw him play at two schools in North Carolina, Northside Christian Academy and Combine Academy, before he joined powerhouse Montverde Academy in Florida.
Last season, the 6-foot-6 guard started all 32 games he played for Mike Woodson’s Hoosiers, averaging 13.5 points, 4.1 rebounds and 3.7 assists. While his 33% shooting from 3-point range was inconsistent at times, Hood-Schifino proved his poise, command of the offense, and ability to score in bunches when needed.

That, combined with a strong pre-draft process, have the Indiana point guard as a potential lottery pick in this month’s draft.
