White Sox move on from Hahn, Williams; Top 5 GM candidates

CHICAGO (BVM) –  With just a month to go in the MLB season, the Chicago White Sox decided to get a jump start on their offseason, opting to clean house by letting go of both executive vice president Ken Williams and general manager Rick Hahn.

The move comes following a disappointing past two seasons for the organization, as the 2023 campaign proved to be the final straw for the current White Sox regime. Williams, who has been with the club dating back to 1992, and Hahn who joined back in 2002, have been at the forefront of the team’s operation over the most recent rebuild that resulted in just two playoff berths.

With the two heads of the team’s baseball operations now out of the picture, the White Sox will now be in search of a “single decision maker.” Here’s five candidates that could be in contention.
