Colon-Maldonado named NACC Runner of the Week
Aurora University junior Deedee Colon Maldonado was named Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) Cross Country Student-Athlete of the Week, as selected by the league’s athletics communications professionals. Colon Maldonado won the Aurora Cross Country Classic with a time of 22:38.20 while helping Aurora to a runner-up team finish. She was the top individual out of 74 runners and averaged 6:04.3 per mile over the 6-kilometer track. Colon Maldonado’s time is the fastest regular-season time posted on the Northwestern Medicine Cross Country Course.
