Women’s Volleyball’s Selina Koç, Rumur Rouille Selected Academic All-District
By: Adam Rubin BROOKLYN, N.Y. — The LIU women’s volleyball team won the NEC Tournament title and advanced to an opening-round NCAA Tournament match at top-seeded Nebraska. At the same time, the Sharks were scoring big in the classroom. And that accomplishment was rewarded Tuesday as Selina Koç and Rumur Rouille were named Academic All-District by College Sports Communicators. Koç, a sophomore setter from Izmir, Turkey, is majoring in media arts. She recorded her 1,000th career assist on Oct. 10 against Binghamton and was a four-time NEC weekly Prime Performer.
