TJ Jones is RRAC Player of the Week

NEW ORLEANS — TJ Jones finally has won his first player-of-the-week award at the conference level. The Xavier University of Louisiana fifth-year men’s basketball point guard was named Tuesday as the Red River Athletic’s honoree for Jan. 1-7. Jones, from Opelousas, La., and a graduate of Lafayette Christian Academy, averaged 16 points in Gold Rush conference road victories against Huston-Tillotson and Our Lady of the Lake.
