Steve Wilks fired; 5 DC candidates for San Francisco 49ers
SAN FRANCISCO (BVM) – The San Francisco 49ers lost in the Super Bowl on Sunday and three days later the franchise announced they are firing defensive coordinator Steve Wilks.

This creates an opening for arguably the most coveted assistant coaching job in the NFL. The two DC’s before Wilks (Robert Saleh and DeMeco Ryans) both went on to receive head coaching opportunities.
Whoever takes the job will get to work with an elite roster with a chance to return to the Super Bowl next season.
