CHIRGWIN HONORED AS PACWEST FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

Anessa Chirgwin , the back-to-back PacWest champion in the discus, was named the conference's Field Athlete of the Week on Tuesday. Chirgwin won the discus at the Ross & Sharon Irwin Invite on Saturday, recording a mark of 47.30 meters. That mark ties her season-best throw at the Rossi Relays, where she also won the discus, and ranks third in all of NCAA Division II this year.
