Late scoring surge pushes Centre past Piedmont
DEMOREST, Ga.- The women’s lacrosse team traveled to Georgia to face Piedmont for a non-conference contest. After a fourth-quarter scoring surge, the Colonels downed their opponent 15-13 to improve to an 8-2 overall record. HIGHLIGHTS – The Lions got off to a hot start, going up 5-0 on the Colonels in the opening frame. – Centre caught traction with a 2-0 scoring run to initiate the next quarter.
