Boxers hold on to defeat Corban in midweek showdown

Pacific showed off its pitching depth Wednesday night. Eight different Boxers combined to hold Corban to just two runs in a 3-2 nonconfernce victory at Chuck Bafaro Stadium in Forest Grove. Senior Shane Melrose got the start, pitching one scoreless inning, allow just one base runner on a walk and recording a strikeout. Trevor Kazahaya was the only Pacific pitcher to throw more than one inning. The freshman allowed one run on two walks.
