Women’s Tennis Shuts Out Saint Joseph’s
Bronx, N.Y. – After seeing its eight-match winning streak snapped last week at Massachusetts, the Fordham University women’s tennis team got back on track today, shutting out Saint Joseph’s University, 4-0, on the Hawthorn/Rooney Courts for their eighth straight win. Fordham opened the match by taking the doubles point, winning both completed doubles matches. Raffaela Alhach and Anlin Xie got things started with a 6-1 win at first doubles over Victoria Tracey and Fabiana Tort-Umpierre and then Eleni Fasoula and Xiaowei “Rose” Hu clinched the point for Fordham by defeating Sophia Amato and Ireland Amato, 6-4, at the second position.…
