Ninth Inning Rally Falls Short as Redhawks Drop Series Finale Sunday

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – Southeast Missouri Baseball (20-20, 9-6 OVC) rallied in the ninth inning to get to within a run, but fell just short as Tennessee Tech (25-15, 10-5 OVC) held on to win 4-3 on Sunday afternoon from Bush Stadium. Center fielder Michael Mugan reached base on a throwing error in the ninth inning with two outs in the inning to bring up Ty Stauss . Stauss roped a single to left field off RHP Jaxson Pease (5-1) to get the Redhawks to within a run. A strikeout ended the game as the Golden Eagles secured the series-clinching victory.…
