Softball Drops to Tie for SoCon Lead with Loss to Mercer

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — The Chattanooga softball team retains its lead in the Southern Conference but must share it with Mercer after falling 6-3 to the Bears in the rubber game Sunday afternoon at Frost Stadium. Mercer drove in three runs in the seventh inning, including a two-run home run to break a 3-3 tie. Chattanooga moves to 30-13 overall and 10-5 in league play.
