Obermeier Receives SSC Women’s Tennis Athlete of the Week Honors

By: George Hillen | Manager of Athletic Communications SAINT LEO, Fla. – After winning in first doubles and first singles, junior Luzia Obermeier was selected as the Sunshine State Conference (SSC) Women’s Tennis Athlete of the Week, announced by the conference on Monday afternoon. Obermeier went 1-0 in first doubles and 1-0 in first doubles as the Lions earned a 4-3 victory against #27 Valdosta State on Wednesday. In the doubles match, Obermeier and her partner Lavinia Lancellotti , who rank 21st beat the 35th ranked doubles team of Denisa Hanakova and Viktoriia Fedorova by a 7-5 margin. In the…
