Fischer Shines in Game One as Softball Splits with John Jay

WEEHAWKEN, N.J. (April 24, 2024) – Sophomore Kyra Fischer gave up just one hit in seven innings pitched in game one as the Stevens Institute of Technology softball team defeated John Jay 10-0 (F/5) in game one but lost 3-2 in game two Wednesday afternoon in a non-conference doubleheader. Fischer improved to 9-11 with the dominant win in game one. The hit she allowed was the first at-bat of the game. She struck out five batters.
