DINEEN, DUPILL PLACE AT U20 U.S. OPEN

LAS VEGAS — South Dakota State wrestlers Thomas Dineen and Colin Dupill turned in top-eight placings in the freestyle division during competition over the weekend at the 2024 U20 U.S. Open. Dineen, a native of Hancock, Minnesota, placed fourth in the 97-kilogram weight class after posting a 3-2 record in the two-day competition. Wrestling as a member of the Jackrabbit Wrestling Club, Dineen moved into the quarterfinals with two victories on Friday, then dropped an 11-1 decision (VSU1) Saturday morning to Camden McDanel of Ohio.
